Home JOB is a work-from-home job discovery and application platform that helps users browse jobs, submit applications with identity documents, and complete an application fee payment. For privacy questions, contact us at support@jio.careers.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App or website, we may collect:
2.1 Account information
- Full name
- Mobile number
- Email address (optional)
- Password (stored in encrypted/hashed form where applicable)
2.2 Application and identity information
- Job application details (job applied for, status, timestamps)
- Aadhaar number and PAN number entered by you
- Images/scans of Aadhaar (front/back) and PAN card uploaded for verification
- OCR/extracted text from documents to help fill form fields
2.3 Payment information
- Application fee payment status (paid / unpaid)
- Payment reference/demo payment confirmation details
We do not store full debit/credit card numbers or UPI PINs in the App. Payment processing, if enabled with a payment partner, is handled by that partner’s secure systems.
2.4 Device and usage information
- Device type, OS version, and app version
- IP address, date/time of access, and basic diagnostics/crash logs
- Permission-related events (for example, camera access for document scan)
3. Permissions used by the App
- Internet / Network: to create accounts, load jobs, submit applications, and sync status.
- Camera: to capture Aadhaar/PAN images for document upload and verification.
- Storage / Photos (as required by Android version): to select document images from gallery.
We request permissions only when needed for a feature you choose to use.
4. How we use your information
- Create and manage your account
- Show relevant work-from-home jobs
- Process job applications and verify submitted documents
- Update application and payment status for admin review
- Communicate important updates about your application
- Improve App security, prevent fraud/abuse, and fix issues
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only with:
- Authorized administrators / operations teams reviewing job applications and documents
- Service providers that help host servers, send OTP/SMS, process payments, or analyze app reliability
- Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
Service providers are expected to use information only to perform services for us and protect it appropriately.
6. Data retention
We retain account, application, document metadata, and payment status for as long as needed to provide the service, complete verification, resolve disputes, and meet legal/audit requirements. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting support@jio.careers or by following the steps on our Delete account page, subject to legal retention needs.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure transmission where supported. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Your rights and choices
- Access or correct your profile information
- Withdraw optional permissions (for example, camera) in device settings
- Request account/data deletion, subject to legal requirements
- Opt out of non-essential communications where applicable
10. International users
The App is primarily intended for users in India. If you access the service from outside India, your information may be processed in India or other locations where our service providers operate.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
